Assefa examines the large body of scholarship in the Science of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). Shimelis Assefa is Associate Professor in the department of Research Methods and Information Science at the University of Denver. After serving as Editor-in-Chief of the IJIDI, she now serves as its Associate Editor and as an editorial board member for JELIS, JoLIS, and the Library Quarterly.ĭr. An award-winning researcher and educator, Keren focuses on workplace equity for people with disabilities, the intersection of social work and LIS, and immigrant reading practices in her research and teaching.
